Moving forward is about having something to move forward to.  Focus on one thing at a time.  The act of doing something will give you a sense of satisfaction and control, and other decisions will start to fall naturally into place.

Find a picture of where you would like to be in one, five, or ten years.  Or, draw a picture.  This is your goal.  So, if you are seeking to start your own business, put some pictures on your wall, or your fridge, of what you want to achieve.  Create a page or poster, something to inspire you.  Create a big picture of your future.  When you feel lost, look at your big picture, and regain your focus.  Begin with the end in mind, and you will know what to do with your time, resources, and talents.  Once you have control of these three things, you can start thinking and planning what you need and want from them.

To empower yourself and give yourself confidence to clarify and achieve your goals, utilize the power of creative goals, then you can achieve them.  Your mind, body, and brain are intimately connected.  Visualize and imagine your goals in complete detail.  You are now imagining your future growth.  The journey from present state to desired state.  To complete the journey means knowing what to do with your time, resources and talents.  If you are good at imagining worse case scenarios then you already have plenty of talent.

Imagining is simply programming your subconscious to expect the outcomes you have visualized.  You may be doing this already to visualize yourself getting that job you always desired, or playing well for your team on grand final day.  We are just using existing talents, skills and time consciously to move forward in growth towards our goals.  IMAGINE the outcome – this is the first step.
